GOVERNOR SNYDER

Simon Snyder was born on 5 November 1759 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania - and died on November 9, 1819. He was a Jeffersonian Democrate serving the in PA House of Representatives before being governor of Pennsylvania from 1808 to 1817. He was governor during the the War of 1812 and was elected to the Senate, although he died at the beginning of his term. Contents
