JUDGE HOLT

General Joseph Holt born January 6, 1807 and died on August 1, 1894. was a leading member of the Buchanan administrationserving as Secretary of Patents and later Postmaster General. During the Civil War he was Judge Advocate General in the United States Army, He is most remember for serving as Judge during the Lincoln assassination trials.
